DAAS extend its project H.O.P.E to Orang Asli Community

Dadvance Agarwood Solutions Sdn. Bhd. together with Flora Pax Sdh. Bhd. is collaborating on the first agarwood sculpture craving pilot project for the Mah Meri tribe in Pulau Carey.

The Mah Meri is known for their world-class quality of fine craft and artistry especially in their unique mask crafting that represents their culture which has been preserved for over a hundred years.

This project aims to create another source of income for the Mar Meri tribe through the craving for agarwood sculptures and to market it to overseas sculpture collectors.

According to Dadvance Agarwood Solutions Sdn. Bhd. International Trade Director – Mr.Adrieent Tan; agarwood sculpture is famous among the wood sculpture collectors around the world especially in the Southeast Asia countries and agarwood is known for not only its unique smell but also to dispel bad energies.

He recalled his experience when visited few big corporations in China that display agarwood sculpture in their office. Through this project, he hopes we can bring out the uniqueness of Malaysia’s indigenous tribe and also cultivated agarwood sculpture to the international market.
